Woodlands Disney Villa is on the quiet woodland community of Sandy Ridge.
This is off the 532, just ten minutes from Disney World. The whole community is surrounded by conservation land,
making it a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the parks. Woodlands Disney Villa,
unlike many Orlando vacation homes, has a very private pool and deck area, having woodland views to one side and the rear.
It is on a corner plot with conservation land beyond it extending for 200yds. Across the road there is a landscaped area
with a small children’s play area.
For those of you looking for a Florida golfing holiday there is a wealth of golf courses nearby,
the two closest being Champions Gate – a
PGA championship course designed by Greg Norman, and the prestigious community of
Reunion which has several signature
golf courses designed by some of the greatest names in golf—Tom Watson, Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus.
Within a few minutes drive at the crossing on Old Lake Wilson and the 532 you will find a Publix supermarket, a bank, CVS pharmacy, a liquor store,
Mcdonalds, Subways and a number of take-aways, Pizza Hut, Papa John's Pizza, Dunkin Donuts, China Taste for those evenings when no-one wants to cook!
At Champions Gate you will find another Publix supermarket, a bank, Walgreens pharmacy, liquor store, UPS store, Mcdonalds, Subways, Chili's and
more restaurants and take-aways. A short drive further will take you to Highway 192 where you will find a wealth of other restaurants and shops including
a favourite of ours, The Outback (for fantastic steaks) Of course Disney Springs, just 15 minutes drive away is well worth a visit to soak up the atmosphere
and eat in the well renowned restaurants such as Planet Hollywood,
Rainforest Café,
House of Blues etc.
For most people on an Orlando vacation a visit to
Walt Disney World is a must.
Magic Kingdom,
Epcot,
Animal Kingdom and
Disney Hollywood Studios,
along with Disney’s water parks
Typhoon Lagoon and
Blizzard Beach are all less
than 15 minutes drive from Sandy Ridge. Getting to Walt Disney World is very easy – turn left out of Sandy Ridge,
and follow the 532 and then take the I4 East Bound (EB), shortly you will see the signs to Walt Disney World, and all the parks.
Universal Studios, Universal's Islands of Adventure, Universal,s City Walks,
Sea World,
Discovery Cove,
Aquatica and Legoland are all within easy reach and signposted
off the I4. Other attractions nearby include
Gatorland,
Pirates Cove Golf Disney’s crazy golf, Winter Summerland and
Fantasia Gardens.
An hours drive East will take you to the Kennedy Space Center and the
Atlantic Coast with Daytona and
Cocoa Beaches. Or drive West for the
Gulf Coast, Tampa and Busch Gardens, .
For the shopaholics amongst you, whether you are looking for the smart shopping mall i.e. Florida Mall,
Mall at Millenia, or searching
for a Floridian bargain at the Premium Outlets or
Pointe Orlando there is no end of choice.
